Junior Achievement Volunteers Needed 

We have confirmed a Junior Achievement date, April 1, 2015, at Hamilton Elementary, in Novato.  There are 31 classrooms that are looking for volunteers.  At this time most classes are available.  You may sign up for any grade level, K through 8, that interests you.  Approximately one week prior to the JA day, we will schedule a Volunteer Training session at a time and location TBD.  If you have any Junior Achievement questions, please direct them to Program Manager Jenna Ebert at jebert@janorcal.org.

FPA NorCal Conference – May 26th & 27th – there are still some tickets available!

The FPA NorCal Conference has been providing advanced educational sessions for our members and affiliated financial professionals for over 40 years.

This premier Conference has a national reputation for providing knowledgeable inspiring speakers and excellent networking opportunities for the more than 600 financial professionals who attend. Michael Kitces recently named FPA NorCal as the “Best Overall Value” on his blog highlighting the best conferences for financial advisors.

The conference is planned by a volunteer committee of respected financial planners representing the five local Bay Area chapters. Attendees include members from these local chapters in addition to financial advisors from all over the U.S. The conference is held at the historic and elegant Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

Diversity Scholarship Applications to attend Retreat due March 13!

OneFPA offers one scholarship to attend FPA Retreat and three to attend FPA BE, and applications are due March 13!

The Scholarship is awarded to financial services students and professionals who demonstrate and act upon an intense desire to promote diversity in the financial planning profession. Criteria for applicants includes:

  • ​Raising awareness of the profession in diverse communities;
  • Serving diverse communities with financial planning; and
  • Increasing professional opportunities for diverse communities within the financial planning profession
