Bottom Row (l-r): Ben Rose, Benson Choy
Holly has been a wealth manager, educator and coach since 1993. She joined the FPA’s Pro bono committee in 2003 and became Chair in 2005. Holly loves all the opportunities that her role provides, meeting passionate and committed people and then working with them to help community based organizations build capacity as they serve the working poor. Holly’s dream is that eventually all FPA members will derive pleasure from supporting the pro bono efforts of our chapter.
Nate is a Financial Planner at Philip Benson Financial Services, a fee only financial planning and investment advisory firm in San Francisco, and is a candidate for CFP certification. He became involved with the pro bono committee because he believes financial planning services should be available to everyone who needs them, and finds a lot of enjoyment and fulfillment in participating in pro bono programs. He currently leads the Junior Achievement program for the FPA of San Francisco, and can be contacted about it at nate.eddinger@gmail.com
Rebecca has worked in the financial services industry since 2000 primarily in project management and transitioned into a financial planning role in 2009. She has worked with various non-profit organizations during this time to help promote financial literacy in the bay area community, with a focus on the latino community. Rebecca joined the FPA Pro Bono Committee in 2009 and enjoys contributing to a team that is passionate about leading the FPA efforts to build a community that is financially fit.
Ben is a financial planner and investment advisor who's been part of of the investment industry since 1996. As volunteer co-ordinator for the Pro Bono committee, Ben has the privilege of working with FPA members who are willing to donate their time and energy to promote financial education among those who are working hard to improve their lives.
Benson began pursuing a financial planning career in 2006. While networking in this field, the first two planners he met were dedicated pro bono advocates Saundra Davis and Holly Gillian Kindel. With their encouragement, he joined the Pro Bono Committee in 2007, which was the same time he began working at Mosaic Financial Partners, Inc., a fee-only wealth management firm in San Francisco. Working on the committee has enabled Benson not only to give to the community, but also to network with other financial planners. As the coordinator, Benson provides logistical support to the committee so that the Pro Bono initiatives can be accomplished.
