    Get Involved!

The Financial Planning Association is a non-profit, member run organization.  This Association is run by members, for the benefit of its members.  Everyone involved with the organization is a volunteer – from the Board of Directors to the various Committee members.

For current and prospective members, the best way to make this organization a powerful resource for our community and for ourselves is to get involved!  Whether you’d like to use your expertise to help others, make a contribution to the community at large, demonstrate leadership in your profession or simply to network with other financial professionals – we need your help!

Getting involved can be as simple as attending the monthly meetings and networking events to get to know your fellow financial planners.  If you have more time to contribute, you can volunteer for one of our committees (see below).  You can also help someone directly by becoming a mentor and sharing your professional expertise.

    Committees

Our Committees are responsible for creating our programs, securing expert speakers, planning our annual NorCal conference, growing and serving our membership, helping new planners enter the profession, partnering with other professional organizations in the Bay Area, providing pro bono financial education and assistance to our community and engaging local media on the benefits of financial planning.

You can get involved with these committees that work to help make FPA San Francisco one of the largest and successful chapters in the country.  Committee involvement does not necessarily require a huge time commitment.

To learn more about getting involved with a specific committee, we suggest you first visit the Committee pages below to learn more about the opportunities available.  Then, contact the Director of the committee that interests you, or you can contact the FPA SF Volunteer Coordinator for general information on how to get involved with FPA SF:
