The Career Path Development Program of the San Francisco Chapter of the Financial Planning Association offers many benefits to those entering the financial planning profession. If you’re a student, CFP® certificant or career transitioner, FPA SF’s Career Path Development program is for you.
FPA members who are new students, experienced certificants or CFP® students can expand their industry knowledge through technical and social events via chapter meetings, as well as participating in one or several of the programs below:
Mentorship Program – matches new and transitioning planners with more experienced practitioners. Can be offered in conjunction with a University Program or independently.
Internships – supports those entering the financial planning profession and looking for hands on experience
Scholarship Program – the FPA SF chapter offers scholarships to students to help with their educational and practice development
New Practice Discussion Group – brings together people who have recently started, or are in the process of starting their own financial planning practice. Also open to those just entering the financial planning industry.
Please contact Nate Eddinger, CFP® (careerservices@fpasf.org), Career Path Development Program Committee Chair, for more information on any of the programs above.
