Volunteers Needed!

For 2011 we have planned two separate Junior Achievement Days, and we hope you can join us for one or both of them!  For both events we will be returning to Hamilton Elementary, but with a focus on different grades for each day.

Junior Achievement Days

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 (Grades K-1)
Wednesday, May 18, 2011 (Grades 2-5)
8 am to 12 noon
Hamilton Elementary School
1 Main Gate Road, Novato (near San Rafael)

JA in a Day is a great way to cover all five lesson plans sequentially in one day.
We need volunteers for all grade levels!  If you are interested in participating in this Junior Achievement event, please contact me at nate.eddinger@gmail.com and I will add you to the list.

Volunteering involves a minimal time commitment.  After being assigned a grade level, each volunteer is trained in a one hour conference call and provided with their lesson plan and classroom materials.  The lesson plan includes five pre-designed lessons (each lasting 25 to 45 minutes) and step-by-step instructions on how to present each one.  Volunteers are encouraged to share their own practical experiences as well.

I hope you can join us!  Volunteering with Junior Achievement is a great way to teach young people financial literacy, prepare them for the real world, and inspire them to dream big.
