Included is a recap of the announcements from the chapter meeting in case you were unable to attend or need more information!

Financial Planning Day
Registration for SF Financial Planning Day is now open. This year all financial planners will need to have their CFP designation. The website for registration is: www.financialplanningdays.com. Also, if anyone is interested in being on the logistics team should contact Holly at info@fpasf.org. Official solicitation emails will hopefully be going out next week for both planners and logistics volunteers.

Far West Roundup
The Far West Roundup is an informal retreat for financial planning practitioners and those intending to enter the financial planning profession. It is held on the campus of UC Santa Cruz. We eat in the cafeteria and we sleep in the dorms. The campus is beautiful, the food is good (considering it’s cafeteria food), and the accommodations are a long shot from the Ritz. Needless to say, this retreat is wildly popular in spite of its downscale venue. The appeal is the informal setting where planning practitioners can exchange ideas and have fun.

This is an informal learning environment. The Roundup is also unusual in that there are no sponsors. Most of our speakers are fellow planners or professionals in related fields who have been recommended to us by past attendees. The roundup is held Thursday August 14 thru Sunday August 17th. Go to https://farwestroundup.webconnex.com/Register to register.
