Why Become a Strategic Partner

Why Partner with the San Francisco Chapter?

Profitable Business Network

The San Francisco chapter boasts the region’s largest membership, with over 500 members. Our membership includes some of the Bay Area elite independent firms such as Litman/Gregory, Aspiriant, Mosaic Partners, Wetherby Asset Management and more. In addition, our members represent a broad spectrum of professional specialties including financial planning, investment management, broker dealer services, insurance and annuities, mutual funds, banks/thrifts/trust, law and accounting.

Qualified Business Leads

Our monthly member meetings provide attendees with continuing education credits. Speaking and interacting with this group gives you a targeted audience that is open to hearing your message. Members who attend are there to learn new information and network before and after meetings. We provide thirty minutes of dedicated networking time before each meeting and round lunch tables facilitate discussion during the meeting. It’s an excellent time to collect business cards for follow-up marketing. Members are continually looking for information on new products and services to meet their clients’ needs. We also host member events after some meetings that allow for greater interaction. We welcome strategic partners to attend these events, as well as the regular chapter meetings at no additional cost.

Our premier location is at the exclusive San Francisco Italian Athletic Club, 1630 Stockton Street, located in the historic Italian district “North Beach. The San Francisco chapter is centrally located, attracting planners from all directions including Marin and Sonoma counties, the East Bay and Silicon Valley.

Formal recognition at every meeting and on the FPA SF website

During the business portion at the beginning of each meeting, each sponsor is recognized individually to build recognition and encourage familiarity. We remind members that strategic partners are an integral part of our organization and encourage them to take our partners’ calls!

More regular chapter meetings than any other Northern California chapter

The San Francisco chapter has eleven chapter meetings, – more than any other Northern California chapter. Attendance at all chapter meetings is included in this partnership, meaning you’re in front of our members more often. We also offer different meeting times throughout the year including mornings, afternoons and evenings, which attracts a variety of members so you don’t see the same people at every meeting.

Enhance existing relationships and develop new contacts; create a reciprocal relationship with your clients through supporting their professional organization

You can only make so many sales calls. With between 70-100 advisors on average attending our monthly meetings, you can see more advisors at once and meet new prospective clients at the same time! Change the dynamic of your client relationships and show them that you support their professional organization through partnership.

Promote your company and increase awareness across various types of advisors

The San Francisco FPA membership represents nine different professional designations and countless practice types. By partnership with the chapter, you increase your marketing reach to a multitude of different advisors and increase your exposure across diverse practice types. We also have relationships with the three major schools for Financial Planning in the Bay area (Golden Gate University, UC Berkeley Extension, SF State) which helps tap potential new entrants into the business and build product awareness and loyalty early.

Cost-effective way to meet with multiple clients in a professional setting

Arrange to meet with clients who are members of SF FPA or take the opportunity to invite clients who are not members to join you for lunch and enjoy an educational speaker. We consistently draw quality speakers in the industry at our meetings — use our great speakers to help you get appointments!

Learn from industry professionals

It’s always a good idea to keep up to date on what your clients are learning and what issues are affecting them. Our monthly meetings feature discussions with quality speakers and industry leaders that can help you keep up on the hot issues in our industry.
